In May of 2022, Ethel Cain released her album “Preachers Daughter”. The album follows a story of a young woman running away from an abusive religious family, only to be met by a toxic lover who eats and kills her. I think that this album is so beautifully dark, and the highlight for me was “Ptolemaea”. Here is me as the Freezer Bride, ready to be devoured for religious cleansing.
