American Psycho (2000) featuring Christian Bale is one of the most well recognized satires. Directed and rewritten by two women, Guinevere Turner and Mary Harron; the movie follows Patrick Bateman as he navigates toxic masculinity, capitalism and the upper class work force. The movie, while gory and blunt, offers an interesting point of view into the age of metrosexual panic and the war on drugs.
